Professional Home Inspections - Serving Ottawa and Surrounding Areas

The HomePro Inspection

A HomePro inspection is a professional, objective, visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a home. The intent of the inspection is to visually screen for items "exposed to view" that need major repair ($500 or more), safety hazards, or areas that require further evaluation by a specialist.

A HomePro home inspection is the best strategy potential homebuyers can use to effectively evaluate the risks of a property purchase.

A HomePro inspection screens for problems and itemizes those problems into a comprehensive, easy-to-read HOMEBOOK™ report. This report includes approximations of repair costs and recommendations of useful upgrades to the property systems. It helps the buyer make a more informed purchasing decision.

The home inspector's service to the home purchaser is primarily one of education. For that reason we want you to attend the inspection. The average time is about two to three hours.

The goal of the inspector is to provide the purchaser with a better understanding of the physical condition of the home in order to make a well informed decision.

We encourage you to ask questions as you need to fully understand your home. It is important that you understand the basic operation of all the components of the home.

For pre-purchase home inspections the inspection is typically conducted after the contract is signed, provided the contract contains a clause making the sale conditional on the results of the home inspection.

Home purchasers now entering the marketplace view HomePro inspections as a way to gain valuable information about the largest purchase of their lifetime. It helps them to determine whether there are any major defects or system inadequacies at the time of purchase.

HomePro inspections will also highlight the positive aspects of a home. In fact, many of the home inspector's observations or recommendations help to dispel home purchaser anxieties, and provide useful repair suggestions.

The home inspection should not be confused with an appraisal, a municipal code inspection, or a guarantee of any kind. Home inspections are not intended to point out every small problem or defect in a home. Minor or cosmetic flaws, for example, should be apparent without the aid of a professional.
